Big Momma's House is a 2000 American comedy action film directed by Raja Gosnell, written by Darryl Quarles and Don Rhymer, and starring Martin Lawrence as Malcolm Turner, an FBI agent in need assume the identity of an obese lady to arrest a criminal.
Malcolm Turner is an FBI agent and master of disguise. After apprehending an illegal dogfight in Korea, Malcolm and his partner John Maxwell are assigned a new mission: arrest robber Lester Vesco, convicted of murder and armed robbery of a bank, later escaping from prison after killing a doctor and run away in your car.
Malcolm and John are sent to the small town of Cartersville, Georgia to guard the home of an overweight African-American lady named Hattie Mae Pierce, affectionately nicknamed Granny Zona. She is the distant southern grandmother of Lester's ex-girlfriend Sherry Pierce, a bank employee who allegedly helped him in the robbery by handing him the keys to the safe.
