Justice League is a 2017 American superhero film, based on the eponymous team from DC Comics, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, being the fifth film in the DC Extended Universe. Directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio and Joss Whedon, from a story by Snyder and Terrio, it stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, JK Simmons and Ciarán Hinds.
In Justice League, Batman and Wonder Woman assemble a team of superheroes composed of Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg to face the catastrophic threat of the Steppe Wolf and his army of Parademons.
The film was announced in October 2014. Filming began on April 11, 2016 and ended on October 14, 2016. Subsequently, Joss Whedon was hired to write scenes that would be shot during the re-shoots; however, Snyder left the project in May 2017 after the death of his daughter. Whedon directed the additional scenes.
