La casa de papel is a Spanish television series in the genre of assault films. Created by producer and screenwriter Álex Pina for the Spanish television network Antena 3, the series premiered on May 2, 2017, starring Úrsula Corberó (Tokyo), Álvaro Morte (Teacher), Itziar Ituño (Raquel Murillo / Lisbon), Paco Tous (Moscow), Pedro Alonso (Berlin), Alba Flores (Nairobi) and Miguel Herrán (Rio). The series was added internationally to the Netflix catalog on December 20, 2017 with a new edition and different number of episodes.
On April 18, 2018, Netflix renewed the series for a third party. In July of the same year, the streaming service announced an exclusive contract for Pina's new creations. On April 1, 2019, Netflix announced the premiere date for the third part, set for July 19, 2019. The fourth part debuted on April 3, 2020. The series will have a fifth and sixth part, with no date yet.
