Rocky Balboa (formerly Rocky VI) is a film written, directed and starred by Sylvester Stallone as the boxer Rocky Balboa. This is the sixth film in the Rocky series, which began with the Oscar-winning film, "Rocky, A Fighter", in 1976. The film was qualified as PG (under 13 accompanied by guardians) by the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), due to its combat scenes and language. The shooting of Rocky Balboa began in December 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and then moved to Los Angeles, California and ended in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in mid-2006.
The budget for the 38 days of shooting was $ 24 million. The film was scheduled to premiere on 'Presidents Day' (the United States holiday, on the third Monday in February) in 2007, but was moved forward to December 2006, before Christmas (December 22).
