Supernatural is a dark and urban fantasy American television series created by Eric Kripke produced by Warner Bros. Television in partnership with Wonderland Sound and Vision, which debuted on September 13, 2005 on The WB Television Network, and then became part of The CW's programming.
The series tells the story of two brothers, Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester, played respectively by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, who hunt demons, ghosts, monsters and other supernatural creatures in the world. Eric Kripke had been developing Supernatural for almost ten years; in their original idea, the Winchesters did not exist, the story was based on journalists who reported supernatural events in their news.
