In The Good Place series, Eleanor Shellstrop wakes up to find that she has died and has entered the afterlife. But when she is informed by her mentor Michael that she is in the "Good Place / Good Place" because of her good deeds helping to get innocent people down death row, she realizes that a mistake has been made because people they think she is someone else with the same name.
Trapped in a world where no one curses or gets drunk and everyone is always good, Eleanor finds herself in the dilemma between deserving to stay in this place or going to the "Bad Place". As her entry into the "Good Place" has caused a lot of changes since her arrival now, Eleanor must hide her not-so-perfect mortal behavioral past from everyone else, otherwise they will send her to the "bad place". She soon discovers that it is not the only "error" that has been sent to this afterlife, which indicates that perhaps there are others like her hiding inside the place.
