The Walking Dead is a dramatic and post-apocalyptic American television series, developed by Frank Darabont and based on the comic series of the same name, by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard. The series stars Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, a deputy sheriff who wakes up from a coma and realizes that the world he knew no longer exists. He sets out to find his family and meets several other survivors along the way. The title of the series refers to the survivors, not the zombies. The series is broadcast in Portugal and Brazil through the FOX channel.
