Xena: Warrior Princess is a New Zealand television series originally aired between September 4, 1995 and June 18, 2001. The program was created in 1995 by directors and producers Robert Tapert and John Schulian , was produced by Pacific Renaissance Pictures LTDA in partnership with Universal Studios, was distributed by MCA and internationally by MCA International.
The series is a historical fantasy that chronicles the adventures of Xena, a warrior who tries to redeem herself from her violent past by helping everyone, Xena is accompanied by Gabrielle, whose story is told in parallel during the series. Xena: Warrior Princess was one of the most successful television series, having been shown in about 108 countries around the world. The series was listed tenth in the list of the 25 Best Cult Series in History, by TV Guide magazine, also being the first to gather fans around the world (the so-called Fandom), who connected via the Internet to discuss each episode and character.
